Runaway health care costs and high-energy prices are the two biggest problems facing us right now. Lawsuits are a major cause of escalating health care insurance and cost. Tort reform helped but it needs to be drastically increased to prevent exaggerated damage claims. Claims should be awarded based on actual damage incurred and reasonable compensation for death and disability.
Canada spends less than half for health care compared to the U.S. I am not in favor of nationalizing our health care system but the cost needs to come down drastically. Massachusetts just passed a mandatory health insurance law. It deserves scrutiny to see if it would work for Idaho.
